![]() ![]() The Delicate Flower then wipe out the Shade Lord and Godhome, meanwhile the Hollow Knight is set free, has an encounter with Hornet - who was waiting for the Knight -, kicks her ass and seal her in the Black Egg. It could be that with Godmaster he probably didn't fight the Hollow Knight yet, and since he kills Absolute Radiance, (and Radiance until now has only appeared on the Dream Realm) it's probably the same as killing the one sealed in the Hollow Knight. Now i think the endings don't really make sense with Godmaster in mind, since the Knight is in Godhome he's not sealed or dead, which already disqualifies the 3 endings. I think this is one of the things team cherry will give 0% on and say "interpret it for your self" or at least for how hornet got captured and which ending follows it.Īnd also if YOU are into "canon" ending then its obviously the sealed siblings ending, the pharloom cultist use a laser cuter to open the black egg. $30 wouldn't surprise me either, though I could see $20 maybe since that's still a somewhat common price.Originally posted by roymaster45:That would definitely be interesting. ![]() Hell even Atelier Sophie, a port (by Koei Tecmo of all companies) released not even a year later on PC, is $30 compared to the $60 on PS4 (and still $60 there).Ĭould give tons more examples.but suffice it to say I'm expecting it to be $25. Lots of others followed the same trend, and many of the 'larger' indie games are hitting $40 which some even going the $60 route. There's been, effectively, pretty massive inflation in PC games' prices Consider for instance, Shantae: Half Genie Genie which only launched a couple months before Hollow Knight for $20, and the sequal Shantae and the Seven Sirens earlier this year for $30. In the almost four years since things have become VERY different. As they mentioned when they first released Hollow Knight, the reason they picked the $15 (USD) price tag was to ensure that as many people bought and played the game as possible. Originally posted by Phirestar:Perhaps not object, but Team Cherry would have to be considerate about a price increase. Both have the same outcome as before: you sell to less people, and make less profit as a result. Would be less of a sequel, and more of a expansion. On the opposing end, setting the price too low results in a chance of someone looking at your game with an impression of, "Well if they're selling it for that cheap, it must not have much to it." Or even worse, a really low price comes with the stigma of something possibly being shovelware. Kinda hard to make a sequel with the same main character when the main characters sole purpose is to be sacrificed to contain or destroy an ancient, angry goddess in the first game. If you price a higher price, you might make more per individual, but fewer people are willing to purchase the game. There's an important balance that has to be met, between number of copies sold versus profit-per-unit. Perhaps not object, but Team Cherry would have to be considerate about a price increase. I don't think anyone would object to HK having such a price as well. ![]() Other similar games like Ori or Shantae all cost around that price this year. ![]() However, I think it would be completely reasonable from Team Cherry to go with 30 bucks. It also takes away from immersion, because it makes the physics of the game very unrealistic. It made jumping on small platforms quite annoying, among other fine movement. I did just buy Sakuna for 40 and I expect hallow knight to have as much or more content. In Hollow Knight, the character goes to full velocity instantaneously, and instantly to zero velocity once you release the key/joystick.
